The attractive tread of the SP QUATTRO MAXX tire was designed specifically by the Italian Pininfarina studio. The use of an asymmetric tread means that the tire guarantees balanced performance on any surface. Wide circumferential channels are responsible for drying the tire and reducing aquaplaning, while numerous, sharp edges provide better grip on the ground and traction on bends. The inner side is adapted for driving on wet roads, while the outer shoulder and simple, notched ribs improve performance on dry surfaces.

An innovative rubber compound with the addition of Kevlar fibers was used to produce the tread. This substance is famous for its exceptional resistance and at the same time its flexibility. The material is used, among others, in bulletproof vests. In the case of tires, it guarantees high resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage, and at the same time flexibility regardless of weather conditions. The material is also more resistant to high temperatures.
