Goodyear has introduced a new tire - EfficientGrip with FuelSaving technology.
It is the first ultra-high performance tire, adapted to reduce the fuel consumption of a car.
Independent tests conducted by the German research organization TÜV SÜD Automotive show that the new Goodyear EfficientGrip tire offers:
• 13% lower rolling resistance,
• 2% shorter braking distance on wet and dry surfaces,
• 1.9% lower fuel consumption;
Detailed tread wear tests conducted by TÜV SÜD show very good results of the tire's service life. A car equipped with the new Goodyear EfficientGrip can travel a distance longer by as much as 49% for tires on the non-drive axle and 8% on the drive axle, which is another benefit, both for customers and the environment.
