New for the 2007/2008 winter season, the VancoWinter 2 is the successor to the long-serving VancoWinter. The manufacturer has managed to significantly improve performance compared to its predecessor.
Thanks to the intelligent sipe concept, the new VancoWinter 2 tyres cope perfectly with the diverse challenges of winter driving. Sinusoidal sipes in the shoulder of the tyre optimise braking effect and handling in snow. The scaly sipes in the tread also provide an ice scraper effect, which significantly increases braking performance on ice and wet surfaces.
Combined with a special rubber compound for winter grip, the intelligent sipe concept of the VancoWinter 2 tyres guarantees exceptionally high safety potential and maximum versatility in the winter months. With a 10% increase in the number of grooves and three circumferential tread grooves with water drainage channels, the VancoWinter 2 tyres are best suited to meet these requirements. The new tread pattern provides efficient slush and water evacuation, therefore offering excellent protection against aquaplaning and safe handling on wet surfaces.
The solid sidewall construction of the new VancoWinter 2 tyres increases their durability. The wide and scratch-resistant rib prevents problems caused by driving over curbs and increases resistance to damage. The special traction shoulder provides additional grip on roads with accumulated snow and slush.
