Michelin Agilis Alpin is a premium (high) class winter transport tire.

The French Michelin concern introduces modern tire models to its offer every year. Michelin Agilis Alpin provides a high level of safety and durability. The computer-optimized tread pattern and increased contact area with the ground guarantee better steering and shorter braking distances even with maximum load.

The Michelin Agilis Alpin tire was designed based on a detailed analysis of the needs of users of transport vehicles. Based on the information obtained, the designers took care to improve safety on wet and slippery roads and increase mileage. A higher level of driving comfort was also achieved, thanks to which the Michelin Agilis Alpin tire is also suitable for passenger transport. Durable Contact Patch technology, which is successfully used in truck tires, was used in the design of the tread profile. Thanks to this solution, the Michelin Agilis Alpin tire gained as much as 27% larger contact area with the ground. In combination with the optimal layout of individual elements of the pattern, an appropriate distribution of pressure and protection against tire deformation were achieved.

A mixture created on the basis of Durable Security Compound technology was used to produce the tread. Thanks to it, the rubber remains flexible at low temperatures and is resistant to abrasion. As a result, it was possible to increase mileage by 20%. The tire wears evenly and slowly, which guarantees great savings. The designers also managed to reduce rolling resistance, and consequently reduce fuel consumption.

To ensure safety on wet and snowy roads, an open pattern was used, which guarantees quick and effective drainage of water and snow slush and protects against aquaplaning. A large number of sipes on the tread surface provide adequate grip on slippery, icy surfaces. The reinforced tire structure and special discs on the sides guarantee protection against mechanical damage.

The Michelin Agilis Alpin tire is designed for the winter season for delivery vans, light trucks and minibuses, such as the Ford Transit FT330, Iveco Daily, Mercedes Sprinter, Opel Movano, Peugeot Boxer, Renault Mascott, Volkswagen LT46 or Renault Master. The tire is economical. It guarantees long mileage and reduced fuel consumption, making it particularly recommended for the commercial segment.
